For the first time, Debussy and Prokofiev faced off! The short version of the program included Debussy’s Suite Bergamasque, Cloches a travers les feuilles, Jardin sous la pluie and Reverie. Prokofiev’s works included the Lt. Kije Suite, a couple of Sarcasms and the Toccata. The voting results were as follows: Debussy: 57% Prokofiev: 43% As this was a trial run, I did not ask the audience for demographic details. Starting with the next concert, we can start looking for possible connections between age or gender with musical preferences!
