This amazing venue is inspiring in more than one way, and I am grateful to have the opportunity to provide cultural/musical/spiritual nourishment, to complement their other sources of physical and psychical nourishment. Perhaps it’s the setting, creating the atmosphere of deep introspection and discovery. It seems that most of the comments were about the discovery of Glass and how surprisingly moving his music is. And that discovery led to a landslide by Glass - more than 2 to 1! Funnily, Bach won (by a hair) both Rounds 1 and 2, but the overwhelming effect of Mad Rush in Round 3 was the tipping point for many people. While Debussy v. Prokofiev seems to be influenced by the mood of the listener, Bach v. Glass seems to be influenced more by the surprise of discovery. And I’m very happy to be providing that surprise and that discovery, sometimes of the music of Bach, more often of the music of Glass. Happy Listening!
